Own the Interview, Control the Story

In my media training sessions, I take you behind the lens to show you exactly how a story is built—and how to ensure yours remains the focus. We begin by sharpening the substance of your message, distilling complex information into clear, punchy “soundbites” that resist being misconstrued or edited out. Beyond the words, I’ll coach you on the technical appearance of a professional broadcast: how to manage eye contact, posture, and gestures to project confidence and authenticity. I use real-time simulations to show you how even small adjustments in your physical presence can be the difference between looking guarded and looking like a leader.

Equally important is mastering the appropriate tone for the moment. I will teach you how to read the interviewer and calibrate your delivery—whether that means being empathetic during a crisis or authoritative during a keynote. By using recorded mock interviews and playback analysis, I demonstrate how a shift in your vocal inflection or a change in framing can entirely alter public perception. You won’t just learn the theory; you’ll develop the practical muscle memory needed to command the energy of the conversation, ensuring you look, sound, and feel like the authority you are.

Germain Issues media training is offered both as one-on-one sessions with CEOs and other corporate or community leaders, as well as workshop group sessions to include everyone on your communications team.
